«Memories of Velvet Roof» is the third novel I actually read simply by Anna Puck. This time, Some have to get a female thoughts and opinions on this report because it was clearly developed for a male perspective. My spouse and i liked the descriptions of Vorkovia, specifically its cobbled streets and the knowledge that many people have come to know it being a city in transition. Puck’s character, Alexey, was interesting, voronezh girls funny and realistic; and I adored her decision to write about the place without focus on the life of Alexey alone.
The story depends on Alexey, at this time settled in Vorkovia, functioning as a drivers for a shuttle bus service. A lady he fulfilled in school, Olga, calls him one day and invites him to meet her for meal. After a quick and delicious noon-time meal, both of them get to know each other better and exchange products. Things improvement from there, until a girl requests Alexey for being her partner, and they equally go to a prom together.
The setting up of this innovative is very pleasant. It starts out inside the typical cities of Vorkovia near St . Petersburg. They will walk a couple of blocks to a new building constructed within an ancient cathedral and spend the rest of the evening enjoying the sights, scents, and emotions of the city. Another morning, while Anna can be leaving, she spots some form of commotion at the entrance for the park that catches her attention.
A homeless vagabond is normally living in the park. Ould – approaches the homeless vagabond and requires him for what reason he possesses chosen to stay in that particular region. He explains to her which the girl this individual lives with, Olga, uses her rewards to pay out for the purpose of food, lodgings and her daily driver back and forth to varsity. In return, the vagabond will not let Olga use his benefits, such as helping out at the destitute shelter.
Anna determines to visit Olga and sees her discussing with an alternative girl. The two girls are planning to join the «Free Movement» which usually aims to carry attention to the conditions inside the country’s slums. Meanwhile, the «Free Movement» is getting together with in a recreation area for what they call «concerts». None of the girls know that the concert can be organized by simply Anna’s neighbor.
In the morning, Anna determines to investigate the «concert hall». While jane is inside, the girl meets Costa, a middle-aged woman whom lives on a nearby neighborhood. The two girls strike up a conversation and learn that the live concert hall has been used like a stash point for much illegal money. Using this information, Anna goes to the authorities and accounts the circumstance. The the suspicious are interested in choosing the owner of the property make out to interrogate Olga.
